Services
The
WPCA offers the following services:
Whitmore
Park Community Sign
The WPCA sign is located at the corner of Grant Road and Gordon
Road. It is available for community and private messages. The cost
is $10 per posting for private messages. The message will appear
for one day (or longer if no other notice is pending). Notices for
community events have priority over private messages. For more information
or to reserve space contact the sign
coordinator or click here for the online
form. The WPCA executive reserves the right to refuse to post any
notice.
Child
Care Directory
The WPCA keeps a directory for day time child care provided by adults.
The directory includes a list of those willing to provide services
and those requiring services on a regular basis for school-aged
children, pre-schoolers, and infants. If you require more information,
are willing to offer your child care services or require child care,
contact Karen Williams at 584-8430.
Access
for All
If you or your child are interested in participating in one of the
recreational activities that are offered by WPCA but need some type
of assistance due to a disability, we may be able to help. There
is an Integration Facilitator for the South Zone in Regina. The
job of the Integration Facilitator is to make it easier for disabled
persons to participate in Zone Board or Community Association sponsored
programs. The assistance of the Facilitator could include finding
a volunteer to accompany the participant to the program, assisting
with transportation arrangements or exploring ways that an activity
could be adapted to allow different levels of participation, etc.
If you think this service could be of help to you, contact the WPCA
President by calling the phone number below. The Integration Facilitator
will contact you. All inquiries will be kept confidential. Volunteers
are needed for this program. If you would be interested in assisting,
contact the WPCA President - Curt Schroeder by emailing president@whitmorepark.ca
or calling 586-9268.
Financial
Assistance
Financial assistance is available to cover all or a portion of the
cost of participating in WPCA programs. Individuals and families
who wish to be considered for financial assistance must apply to
the WPCA For more information, contact the WPCA President - Curt
